Your email in Teachable

Teachable is an interactive demo of programs that learn from corrections. You can use fictional demo messages without connecting an account.

When you connect Gmail

The app requests read-only access. On import, it reads up to 50 recent inbox messages, including sender, recipients, subject and body. It does not send email, modify labels, mark messages read, archive, or delete messages in Gmail. Attachments are not imported.

Tagging with Jev

Imported messages and messages you compose here are transmitted through this app’s Cloudflare Worker to TypeSafe AI’s Jev service to score the 48 tags. Do not import messages you do not want processed by that service. The routing and learning model runs in your browser.

Storage and access

Message text is kept in this tab’s memory and cleared when you reload, disconnect, or close it. This app does not write message bodies to a database or application logs. Google access tokens are kept in an encrypted HttpOnly cookie for at most one hour. Disconnect clears the cookie and asks Google to revoke the token. You can also remove this app in your Google Account connections.

Learning from the demo mailbox is saved in browser local storage. Learning from imported Gmail is session-only. Third-party infrastructure may process requests under its own policies; this page does not make promises about those providers’ retention.

Local composer

“Add to inbox” creates a test message within this app. It sends the text to Jev for tagging, but it does not send an email to the addresses you enter.
